Applications are reviewed by the New Membership Committee and the full Board of Directors, whose decision is final. We are committed to inclusion and to consistent professional excellence, or the evidence of emerging professional excellence. Please send your very best samples (no pornography or erotica).

Membership application is open from January 15 to March 15. Please note that you must have at least three traditionally published works in order to apply.

Apply for Established Writer status if you have at least five pieces of impartially (traditionally) published work and a portfolio of single authorship or bylines.
Apply for Emerging Writer status if you have three to four pieces of impartially (traditionally) published work and one or more unpublished or self-published works
Full-time high school and college students may apply. Students are to submit five writing samples that demonstrate emerging professional excellence.
